Celebrating our Centenarian
Sr Germaine was born in February 1921 and professed as a Dominican sister in August 1942. 53 of her 80 Years of ministry have been spent in the Maitland/Newcastle Diocese.
Her ministry throughout her working life has been to her religious sisters and to students in boarding schools. During these years, Germaine was able to have a year in Rome which gave her the opportunity to travel within Europe, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Germaine is truly a prayerful and gentle presence among us.
A blessing of these years is to give another whole meaning
to what it is to be alive, to be ourselves, to be full of life.
