Dominican Volunteer Support Group

The purpose of the Dominican Volunteer Support Group is to:

Provide information about volunteer opportunities in the Dominican Family in Eastern Australia and the Solomon Islands.

Provide opportunity for potential volunteers interested in the Solomon Islands to find out more about Solomon Islands country and culture, and the ministry of Dominicans in The Solomon Islands.

Identify the volunteers’ own gifts and skills which could be shared with Solomon Island people.

Support priorities identified by the Sisters in ministry or projects to which volunteers could contribute.

Collaborate with Dominican Family members working in education, health and social justice areas in Eastern Australia for placement of volunteers.

Form partnerships with other agencies sending volunteers: Dominican Volunteers International, PALMS, Mahitahi, Providence College USA.
