Human Rights Training
Justice and Peace Training Workshop on Human Rights

Two United Nations representatives from Geneva are visiting the Solomon Islands to conduct a training workshop on human rights.
The training is based on the issues of logging that impact the basic rights of the people. Its effect on water, health and domestic violence. The issue of human trafficking will also be addressed.

Three days will focus on Training the Trainers and two days working with some of the local communities who are personally affected by logging as well as the impact on the environment.

The days involve the Dominican sisters, friars, and laity; the Anglican sisters and friars as well as the UN Dominicans.
